Believe or not my basketball career started off as a ball boy for my big brother Henry’s high basketball team. Henry was a flat stud on the basketball court and I was the pesky little brother that wanted to be just like him. The only problem at the time was I wasn’t very good. I was never a star of a team growing up, I was just a kid that flat out loved the game of basketball and had a goal to play in college. At the time I had no idea the journey that goal would take me on. My high school career was absolutely up and down hoping for that one coach who would believe in me. What I got was, one coach telling me I would never play in college and another who would always encouraged me to believe and push harder (Go Get It).

I believe that building a strong foundation in anything is extremely important. The first coach to ever encouraged me was Brad Klopp. He taught me about the importance of having great shooting form as a Sophomore in high school. I still use some of those same principles to this day when I'm working with players.

Fast forward to playing at Chabot Junior college where I meet teammate (Kirk Jenning) that would become a friend for life. What I didn’t at the time was that Kirk had a big brother that was playing for the Golden State Warriors in the 90's. Keith “Mister” Jennings would show up to watch our games when he could. During the season Keith begin to take me under his wing and teach me how to train and play with a deeper purpose. The following summer I would spend time in Culpeper, VA where they were from. Training and learning things about the game that would change my life. No joke Keith and his older brother Ken were so tough on me, Not in a bad way, but in a way that pushed me to get better. After that summer I received a scholarship from a small NAIA school in Bristol, VA called Virginia Intermont, talk about a key moment in my life. One of my teammates Tyrell would go on to be one of my best training partners for many years. We pushed each other to reach our goal of playing Pro Basketball.

What I found through my basketball journey is a wealth of knowledge from all the people who trained and worked with me over the years. To many to name, but I’m thankful for each person who sowed into my basketball journey. I say journey, because my love and passion for the game means that journey continues.... After, years of going after my pro basketball career, I realized I had a knack to teach and develop player in this game. I begin to shift my focus to developing players from GA, TX and CA. I have a true passion for  training and developing players to reach their full potential in basketball and life. For the past 20+ years I have help countless players earn scholarships. Basketball coaching/developing players is an absolute passion of mine and my desire is to help other go as far as they can. To be great at anything you cannot skip steps and I believe when you focus on the details you remove the limits on what you can become. Mentorship through basketball is what you will get from me and I’ll leave you with this, Let’s GO GET IT!!!
